I would like to display the Class norms in my class.

Typically, Class norms are the behavioral expectations or rules of the class. Class norms inform us how we are expected to behave towards each other and towards the materials we use in school. Some examples of general class norms are: “be a good neighbor,” “respect others and yourself,” and “be kind.” Norms written at a specific level identify distinct behaviors, such as “raise hand before talking,” or “walk in the hallways,” and are usually only applicable in particular situations.

As new teacher working with students, I believe the distinct class norms can help me to build the positive learning environment. what's more, it will beneficial to managing classroom behavior.

One step further, I would like to use time to discuss these norms with my secondary students, how the norms are going to influence their subject study. asking them whether they want to add any norms in their own class learning. Therefore, the class norms will be changed from "general" description to "specific" description after students discussion.

Besides what other teachers have already posted, I also believe displays can offer something interactive for students too. I used to put up the latest blockbuster movie posters in my classroom and get students to write their thoughts on the display and give it a rating, but it was all optional. I have a 'Fact of the Day' in my classroom, which requires students to get right up to the display to be able to read it. It can also lead into a warm-up discussion just before class begins (a bell-ringer to an extent). These two display ideas can help teachers get to know their student's interests a little bit more. It also motivates teachers to change them regularly.
