The society of Bhutan today is made up of several ethnic groups. The Sharchops, live mostly in in eastern Bhutan. Some of the earliest tribes are believed to have come from India and Burma.The Ngalops live in western Bhutan and migrated from the Tibetan plains. The Ngalops are said to of been the first ones to bring Buddhism to the country. The other main ethnic group is the Lhotshampas, who were from Nepal originally. The Lhotshampas migrated to Bhutan toward the end of the nineteenth century.

wide encompassing an area of 46,500

square kilometers. The country is

mountaineous, and ranges in elevation

from 100m along the indian border to the

7,554m Kulha Gangri peak on the Tibetan

border. In the southern region it is tropical,

with a monsoon season and eastern part is

warmer than the west. Up in the Himalayans

its a colder with more harsh conditions.

In bhutan there is tigers, wild pigs, growls,
