From what I have learned, I understand that digital literacy and digital skills are connected but not the same. Digital skills refer to the technical abilities I use when operating digital tools, like typing documents, using applications, or navigating the internet. On the other hand, digital literacy goes beyond just using technology, it involves understanding how to use it responsibly, safely, and effectively for communication, learning, and problem-solving. In short, having digital skills means I can use technology, but being digitally literate means I know how to use it wisely and appropriately in different situations.

My key takeaways is as a future facilitator we need to be digital literate in order for our students to fully understand the topic because we're using the same thing they use and also in order to have accessible and hassle free learning.

As I was meticulously reacting with the Group 1's activity wherein we were asked to react with corresponding emoji from a certain statement, I was able to remember how I used to share everything in social media. I have read somewhere that all of the things we posted from the past doesn't actually get deleted permanently, so it is important to be digital literate. The quote, "think before you click", never fades and is still always relevant, especially to the Gen Zs. I have learned that we must be responsible for what we post and click anywhere to keep your digital footprint clean, and to keep yourself protected.
