In her final days, when she was at her worst, the doctors advised my parents that it would be better for her to pass away at home, surrounded by her family, where she could find peace. Eventually, she did pass away at her home in Plato Magdalena, with all her sons, nephews, and grandchildren by her side. On this particular occasion, I traveled with my middle sister, my mom, and my cousin. We had an excellent vacation; they even celebrated my birthday. However, trouble arose on the day when it was time to leave Bogota and return home. I couldn't board the airplane because my ID had expired. By that time, I had already turned 18. The airplane was nearly closing for departure, and both my mom and I were quite worried. I felt scared because I thought I might have to stay in Bogota all by myself. During the wedding we got quite sentimental but we were happy for my cousin and his new wife. The bride looked beautiful and my cousin looked very handsome. When the party was over they went on their honeymoon to a hotel in Santa Marta.
