Michael Collin's stories of war inspired the Hunger Games. The Hunger Games take place in thirteen districts—mainly district twelve, which is the remains of what used to be North America. There was a war, and to settle that war, the districts agreed that each year two, one male and one female tribute ranging from the age of 12 to 18, were put in an arena to fight to the death resulting in a single victor. It's the 74th Hunger Games and Katniss volunteers. she has to play out her star-crossed lover scenario with her fellow tribute petta melark.loved this book.
