"Readers will have a difficult time pulling for Sage. She is such a contrary character, full of insecurities and at odds with her life. She manages to stay rather dispassionate about the stories she hearsand this in turn makes it easier for th reader to stay untouched. At least not as touched and horrified as they should be based on the horrors that are revealed."

Jean:   It rambles on, the characters are not well developed. It seems very cliches. I got really tired of the fairy tale repeated over and over.

Amy: I love how she researches historical facts and then she spins her own fictional story around it. 
Robert: I loved how this book showed the Holocaust through the eyes of the SS guard as well as the victims.
Deb: Each characters voice was incredibly believable. A tribute to the survivors stories and resilience, one that needs to be heard by contemporary society.
