In the COIL component of the course, you will develop a collaborative, multidisciplinary, intercultural research project and presentation on human trafficking, language, and culture in the North and South of Mexico and the USA. To learn about these issues within each local community, students will conduct secondary research (reading reports and watching multimedia sources) about human trafficking in their area. This project is aligned with the UN Protocol to Prevent, Suppress, and Punish Trafficking in people. In this project, you will combine multidisciplinary strategies from the language teaching field, social sciences, and humanities.

Instructions:

1. Use the final template to create your final presentation, which includes all the activities performed during the course.

2. On the last slide of the template, each student creates a 1-minute testimonial video explaining the good things you liked about the COIL course, something different or difficult, and includes advice for future COIL courses.
