Since Day #1, we have:
1. Aligned the SEL standards with the CRCSD Profile of a Graduate. The connection should provide relevance and intentionality otherwise missing in the PoG.
2. Engaged secondary school counselors in providing feedback regarding the PoG in the context of an MTSS model. Feedback indicated deep thinking and generated thoughtful questions.
3. Began the process of creating learning progressions that include the PoG and SEL competencies. This task has furthered the understanding of the necessary and intentional making of connections to current work.

1. Re-design of our future ready rubrics to align with the language and competencies of the Universal Constructs. Created a more open-ended project design for learners. Used the QFT protocol with staff around the topic of Future Readiness.
2. The QFT protocol helped staff engage in rich conversation. There was respectful discourse, helping us surface important topics. Staff is already using the QFT with students in an integrated unit around Climate Change.

- PD session focused on the Academic side of our MTSS. This is an idea that we are introducing and creating throughout this year of PD. Staff were sorted into small groups and given prompts to brainstorm supports we already had (which were plentiful). Our activity encouraged collaboration and inquiry, as well as a lot of discussion about levels and what our role is in learning.
- The discussions are always great with our staff. The end message was that we are all working to educate the students and that we have a lot of things going for us in the positive.
- No, we carefully front-loaded vocabulary and basic MTSS understanding to ensure that the staff were on the same page and would be able to handle this activity. Our three session lesson was successful.
- We are focusing on the supports that we as a staff provide students this year. The long term goal is to model activities that create engagement in learners while also educating the staff.
- I used to think that all teachers approached learning and student relationships with an open mind but now I think that we have to create and foster that attitude in every one.
