Today we got into pairs and was told what unit 6 was all about. Today i learned how to edit a picture and turn it into a cartoon picture which will make it more effective for children to read. I developed my editing skills slightly even though I struggled doing it. I need improve on completing my photoshop skills because i feel i struggled to grasp how to do it. I found that a problem for me was the photoshop at the end of the day because i did not understand how to complete it because i am new to photoshop. The solution for this is to practice my editing in free periods maybe at luck to improve it for future lessons. For the next lesson we must come up with a full idea.

Problems I faced and how I overcome them.

one of the problems i faced when doing the photoshop task was that i was not confident on the photoshop software. I did not know how to use the right tools or complete the photoshop task. even though we had a tutorial on how to do it i feel I was still not grasping how to do it. however i can resolve this by taking my time next task and trying to take it step by step at a slow pace. This will allow me to take the information in more and will allow me to understand sand gain key knowledge on how to work on photoshop.

First off all i needed to go to filter and then go to filter gallery. This allowed me to change the background to whatever you wanted. I chose to change it to cutout because it was the most cartoon like.

First of all i needed to go on filter gallery where i was able to change the background etc. However you could also change the levels of the entire image. This allowed me to make the whole picture more animated than it already was. The slide bars were to make the whole picture stand out more for instance the edge fideltity will make the edges of the picture more sharper. However the problem was was that i did not know what to do after that stage of the process. However for next time i will spend my time more on this task and focus on getting this task done. This is because this is the main project for the unit and not completing it will put me at a disadvantage.

On Thursdays lesson we ventured of to our local library to collect some information about other children's books. We did this because it will help us decide what children actually enjoy reading. We learned that children enjoy vibrant coloured books and books that includes animals. However there were books about fears and how to overcome them which is our idea.

The problem i encountered when drawing was that i am not the best drawer. This was a flaw because when i was drawing i was constantly making mistakes and restarting and taking a long time. This made me flu behind on other pieces of work. I overcome it by asking g my partner hannah who is very confident with drawing because she does it as a hobby. I learned that just taking your time and not rushing the drawing helps out a lot because you start to add more detail and you concentrate more.

In todays lesson we wrote up our final script for our own E-book. This is because we need to get our very first rough script because we are getting closer to production day. Also i created a image for a background in one of our scenes for our E-book. I created by using collage to start with because i decided to try something new and different. Problems i faced when doing it was that i did not know what i should create my background on and just thought about what scenes could be in our E-book.

The images will be on soon just cannot put them on yet.
