It is important to learn and understand fluently the country language that you are living in for various reasons such as communication and... communication.
-Second, be social. Since you are in a completely foreign country(most of the time) you should get to know more people. Especially the locals and the students in your school.
-Third, try to get out of your homesick phase. Homesick is a part of your "new" life in a new country. Everyone will eventually experience this, if you don't then... you are weird.
-Fourth, respect the people there. You are alone in a foreign country, sad and having a life crisis. But if you respect the people there, you would be a-okay. They can help you if you need any so it's important to respect them.
-Finally, be aware of your money and try not to spend too much on anything. As the name suggested, you should keep your money, no one knows when it will come in handy.
