The Evernote tool would be great to use with your students, as they could keep their notes organized, share notes on all their devices for easier access, and even record voice messages and post weblinks, that way students could have access to all the information they need for the class. It also sends reminders so that students will know when things are due or when an upcoming test or quiz is. Evernote could also be used for the educator, organizing lessons and websites into seperate folders for easier access. They can add links to use to show in class.

Google Docs would be a great idea for sharing information and assignments with the class as a teacher. If given access, everyone in the classroom can use and/or post to the Doc. This would be useful for sharing notes, working on group projects, posting assignments, or giving out syllabus information. It can also work alongside Google Forms, which allows you to create quizzes that you can share with the class and get immediate feedback. You can use multiple choice, short answer, essay, and more. All this can be placed within Google Drive, which stores all of your documents and quizzes and can be organized however you like.

A great tool for collaboration. Uses pictures and discussion to present topic of the day. You could post a new picture each day that represents a linear movement of an event and have students discuss what they do and do not understand. Also works well as a way to communicate with peers as it has a video chat feature and discussion, so emailing would not be needed. Great tool to work on group projects.

Another great collaboration tool. Slack is essentially a group chat that allows you to organize and create your chats as you like. You can have as many or as few members in the chat as you want. Create a specific URL to send to the members so they have access to it, and then get to collaborating. It is useful because you can have multiple projects going at the same time, or different pieces of a project going because it organizes all the pieces for you.

Trello is another great tool used for collaboration and organization. It is a little more advanced, so it might take some practice with students or peers, but once you figure it out it is so useful. You can create different boards in Trello, which are essentially different tasks you have planned with peers or by yourself, and you can organize them into different boards. Inside the boards you can divide up the project into smaller sections for more detailed work or learning, and even create check lists so you know when something is done. You can also start discussions with your peers to know who is working on what, or to share ideas. You can attach documents, URL's, and pictures, so you will have everything you need to complete your project.

As I stated in the Google Docs section, Google Forms is a great tool to utilize with Google Drive and Google Docs. It allows you to create quizzes and share them with the class, and get feedback in real time. You can create short answer, essay, multiple choice, and other forms of quiz questions. It's a great way to take quizzes in the classroom, and share feedback immediately so you can go over any rough areas of the lesson.

ThingLink is essentially just an even more in depth version of a Power Point. It allows you to take any image, and create pop ups of other images, text, videos, websites, polls, and more within it. This is useful because pictures can have so many different elements that can be used to explain a topic. Clicking on one of these areas and suddenly a video, text, or website link pops up to help better explain the subject. It is a great interactive tool to use to share a presentation or teach a lesson over a certain person or event.

I love Duolingo. I actually have the app on my phone as I am attempting to relearn Spanish. Duolingo is great because it takes the element of learning a foreign language and makes it fun by playing little games and incorporating speech, typing, reading, and comprehending all into one app. It is very eye appealing, and it breaks down each lesson into small parts for more in depth learning of the language. You can work at any pace you want to. I think it would be great to use as a side lesson or project outside of the classroom, or as an added bonus for students to use while they take the class, as the App is free, and most have a smart phone.

Tackk is another great presentation tool. It can enhance a written report by adding video, pictures, weblinks, maps, and others. Tackk is cool because it isn't all on just one page, but instead can be set up like a website where you click to open different pages for more detailed work. Tackk also offers templates to help guide student's work and give them more organization. Tackk presentation can also be private or public for shared use.

Glogster was one of my favorite presentation tools that stuck out to me. It is set up like what would be a collage on a poster or a poster board. But, with the online tool, you can add so much more. You can create a presentation filled with pictures, videos, text, journal articles, and more. The visual of your poster would be stunning but the material would make it so much more worthwhile. Students could use this to write a report or present on a historical figure or event.

My SimpleShow is a cool tool that can be used to teach mini lessons with a fun twist. You can start by choosing a template based on what you are teaching, then add text in the specified boxes that will be used as what you would be speaking in the lesson. Then, based off those texts, choose from animations that will bring your words to life and give a visual of the lesson. Finally, choose a voice and submit. The website will create the video for you and send it to you, in which you can then present to the class. This could help students stay engaged. Students could also use this as a way to present.

Kahoot is a super fun way to give quizzes. You can create your own multiple choice quizzes, and then add the students to the link in which they will take the quiz from their phone or computer. Each question is timed, but the quicker you answer and the more questions you get correct in a row, the more points you get. This website could be used to give incentives to students who "win" the quiz. It also has a discussion feature for added learning.

Popplet is a great mind mapping tool that students can use to go into further detail with a subject. What makes this tool different than a simple mind map is that it allows you to embed videos, pictures, websites, maps, and other tools into the map. It also allows you to organize the maps bubbles by size and color for added comparison. This would be great for my social studies class, as it could be used to learn about a historical figure or event.

The image can represent four different multiple choice answers, such as A, B, C, and D. The teacher can ask a question and the students can show their images based on their answer.
