This speech is very important because it shows that we are apart of one race, the human race. And that we should not base ourselves on a certain color. because we are all human and everyone should be treated the same .

This article is very important and it just goes to show that you can't just treat someone based on their skin color and the experiment proved that the kids who were told that they are really talented and smart and everything, thought they were better and the other group got treated unfairly and they later understood how it doesn't feel right to be treated like that.

This article shows us that the superior phycology is still implanted in the society in very recent times.People are still being diseved with a little bit of false information, someone will think they are superior.I think the biggest shock about this experiment is that it is embedded in our culture today and that we have not moved pass this and can be tricked.THe fact that we can go against our better judgement and morals in order to believe what we we knowing in the back of our minds it is wrong is what shocks me.So this video helped me understand the experiment in more modern times.

This article added to my understanding of "The Brown-Eyed, Blue-Eyed Experiment" because it

shows that we should not judge people based on their skin color because that is just the outside appearance of them. In the article Elliott says, “There are not four or five different races. There is only one race on the face of the earth, and we are all members of that race — the human race..." This shows that it does not matter what color your skin is or what color shirt that you are wearing and we are all one group and we should not judge others. The article also says, "The change was instant, Elliott said. The children with brown eyes were suddenly more confident — and condescending. They hurled nasty insults at the blue-eyed kids." This shows that once someone or a group of people think that or told that they are better someone they start judging the opposite. As you can see, the article added to my understanding of "The Brown-Eyed, Blue-Eyed Experiment" because we should not judge people based on their skin color because that is just the outside appearance of them.

For example Jane Elliott in her interview explained why she did the experiment and her reasoning behind it. She talked about how people should not be based on the the color of the there skin and the the experiment help people get a better understanding of what that was like. Also Jane Elliott explained why she had never judged people based on the color of their skin and that no one ever should and never should have. That is how the video with Oprah and Jane Elliott helped me better understand " The Brown-Eyed, Blue-Eyed Experiment".

This video really helped me underastand more of why the experiment was done and how it affected people. Jane Elliot said that this experiment on third graders had a lasting effect on their life. I believe it. You don't understand something until you put yourself in other people's shoes. Then, you realize how it actually is. Now, most likely the third graders would never be racist because they know how it feels to be treated unfairly based on something they can't even help.

The "50 Year Later" article also helped me better understand the "Brown -eyed Blue-Eyed Experiment" because it showed us that even 50 years later we are still judging people off of their skin color, and something needs to be changed about that.

This article helped me better understand the Brown Eyed Blue Eyed experiment because I understand more about why Elliott Race doesn't matter. What you do doesn't matter. It's who you are as a person that matters. Just because of the color of you skin or the color of your eyes doesn't make you different from anyone else. It just means that you are YOU, and if people are going to segregate people for who they are, that's their problem. Be you, because that is what makes segregation-not that it's right worth it: you are being yourself.

The article tells us that everyone is equal no matter what color skin they are. Also this article helped me understand " The Brown-Eyed, Blue-Eyed Experiment because it shows us that not everyone during the Civil Rights Movement was discriminating people by their skin. This person was Jane Elliott. Those are the reasons how the "Says About Race 50 Years Later" article helps me better understand "The Brown-Eyed, Blue-Eyed Experiment".

It was a great example of how greatly humans can impact the way other people act, feel, and treat our world and its people. The interview was helpful for me to understand what was happening and why the teacher did it to her 3rd grade students.

This video really dug deep into Jane Elliott's experiment and helped me to better understand the reasoning behind "The Brown-Eyed, Blue-Eyed Experiment". Jane Elliott didn't want to just talk about racism, she wanted her students to experience it. I enjoyed watching how adults responded differently than Elliott's students. Some adults stood up and said what they were thinking out loud. Students on the other hand, didn't stand up for themselves. Brown-eyed children kept to themselves while blue-eyed children became self-centered and didn't mind how things were going. While watching the video, it surprised me that the people with brown eyes suddenly felt that they were more superior than those with blue eyes. It shows that racism is still a current issue today. Whether it's the color of someone's skin or the color of their eyes people will still discriminate against anyone who is different in any way.

At first to me this was kind of confusing but know i get it. i think it is a good way to schow everyone that if we are treated differently we WILL act different. i wish that we could try this project cause i think it would be cool to see the reslts. we as whole neeed to understand that we are all part of one race and colors dont matter. and we as children need to ear this NOW while we are still young cause this is very important in our lives today

Elliot has been trying to tell people that it does not matter what skin color you have because we are all equal for around 50 years. This led to having her students know what it is like when African Americans were treated unfairly.

It showed me that she was trying to show that it doesn't matter if your white, black, hispanic, asian. It doesn't matter. If all the human race is focused on what you look like, if all you care about is what color that person over there is, then you are contributing to the racist pollution in this earth. I believe that is the message she was trying to spread.

For example, the text told me about how they still have to tell people about racism and how bad it really is. This shows, that having this experiment helped shed some light on what racism really was for the kids. This proves, the people will understand how it feels to be judged by how they look. This shows, that people are still making the same mistakes and this Clearly, the text helped me understand why they did this experiment.

The video was very inspiring and informed me a little more than the article about why she did the experiment. In the article it explained how she first got the idea and how she thought the kids should experience it instead of teaching them and them learning about it. When the blue eyed adults stood out and spoke their minds and the children kept quiet it it made me think about how parallel some things are in the world. When the blue eyed children became self centered and the brown eye children was miserable it was parallel to racism and how racism was. Even though there is a little bit of racism today at least some of can band together and create a relationship together to make the community better.

In the exercise, after the kids began to separate, fights began to break out after the brown-eyed kids became more confident and began thinking they were more important. In real life this happens between people. They think they are better. Jane Elliot stressed that everyone has an equal importance and that we are all one race, human. This article helped explain this, and fill patches that were missed in the Commonlit.

According to the article people still have to tell others to not bully or not discriminate against dark skin people. This also showed the reasons behind the "Brown Eyed Blue Eyed Experiment" the children were judged by their eye color and they were assumed to be feeble minded just because they had brown eyes and the blue eyed children were assumed to be brighter than them. This is relatable to the real world because even though we have improved a lot since Martin Luther King we still don't treat colored people totally the same as we would treat a white person. This article went into more detail about discrimination than the commonlit article.

For example, one of the children say "I found out what it felt like to be on the bottom, and I did not want to make anyone feel that way again." The child who said this must have felt terrible after realizing how discrimination felt like if he didn't want it to happen to anyone. Discrimination is a serious matter and you can tell that nobody wants it to happen if people are starting to go around spending time out of their day and life to end it. As you can see by this article, discrimination is a serious matter that should end immediately.
