In addition, Kurt Weierstall has served as the director of real estate for Catawba Corporation in Middleburg, Virginia, and in a similar position at another firm. His efforts have earned him several honors, such as the South Atlantic Region Merit Award from the American Institute of Architects.

Mr. Weierstall has also been a project architect for East Coast firms, among them Butz-Wilburn in McLean, Virginia, and George Gordon in Washington. He led a historical rehabilitation team at The Housing Studio in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has also developed real estate projects in Virginia. His professional interests range from urban infill design and sustainable architecture to 3D printed buildings and adaptive re-use.

Holder of a 2024 certificate for real estate development from Cornell University, Mr. Weierstall also earned an executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business in Washington. He holds a bachelor’s in architecture from Syracuse University.
