Being a 2000's kid, I was raised wholly under their influence first becoming a major fan of their works with their song "What I've Done" from their third album Minutes to Midnight which featured in the 2007 Transformers feature film directed by Michael Bay.

During my teen years, their cds played on repeat whether it was me hijacking the radio in the car on the way to school to blasting them through my little stereo player in bedroom whenever I was a home.

Linkin Park is the beginning of my path as an artist across every mean that I am capable. Every aspect of them as band has one way or another influenced me in my creative style, which all started with the end scene of the Transformers film when "What I've Done" played during Optimus Prime's closing monologue (Bay, 2007, 2.14.00).

His creative processes have been very influential in how I work on any piece of art, whether it be film, canvas or music. In an interview with BAZAAR.com (2019), Joji talks about how when he composes or hears an instrumental, the visual concept "has to already pop in or it's not really worth exploring as a track for me."

Over the years, whenever I have approached a creative project, my planning phases have worked in a similar way, where if I cannot visualise what I am trying to convey, the current iteration of a work would get scrapped and I would start over again.

From this experience, Joji has gone on to produce most of his own works.

In this same interview, Miller went on to say how that the melodies and the feelings he had listening to them stuck with him even once he stopped listening to that genre of music and how that when he was writing his album Ballads 1, he came at everything he did with that hint of nu-metal.

He talks about how creatively it is easier for audiences to relate to ballads since they are typically about love and that is the one thing that everyone can relate to. He does also state that ballads don't just have to be about love and has written ballads around other topics as

well.

Joji also says it is important for our current generation to know that we can still make ballads in our current day and age and that is didn't die out with the likes of older artist such as Celine Dion.

One of the bands that appeared in the overlap of the venn diagram as Shinoda discribes was Depreche Mode who he credits as teaching them about breaking away from traditional song structure.

In an interview with SPIN magazine (2017), Fred Durst, vocalist of Limp Bizkit, reminisced about his relationship with Chester Bennington prior to his passing aswell as the last conversation the two of them had.

Durst states that Chester had thanked him and his band for paving the way for bands like Linkin Park in which Fred in turn told Chester that the genre would never had reached as many people as it did if it wasn't for him.

Chester goes on to speak about the production level of the album Nevermind by Nirvana and its influence on him, stating that one of the shows that Nirvana was touring this album with Pearl Jam and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers was the greatest show he had ever seen.
