About 80% of Indians are Hindu. Hinduism recognizes multiple gods and goddesses, making the religion polytheistic. Many scholars believe it is the oldest known religion still practiced today. They believe in reincarnation and following a moral law, or dharma, to achieve moksha. Moksha is a deep dreamless sleep that frees them from the physical world. A major part of achieving moksha is keeping up good kharma, the belief that your actions influence ones future for good or bad.
