An example of this type of conditioning that has happened to me was when I went to middle school and had a bad experince there. So I would not go to any other middle school and if i had to I would always have a fear type (negative reaction) to it this is generalization but due to the fact that I don't go to middle school any more is an example of extinction. As the stimulus has disappeared.

Example one- Positive Reinforcement- I get a hair cut and someone compliments the haircut I would be more likely to get the hair cut again.

Example- Negative Reinforcement- Because I turned in my assignments on time I don't have to do the final project in government class.

Example-Positive Punishment- I am yelled at for failing grades in my classes. Now I am more likely to fix those grades.

Example-Negative Punishment- I get caught sneaking out and am grounded. Now I am more likely to decrease this behavior.
