In brief, the story is talking about John who is immune to emotion due to his divorced and indifferent parents meet a lesbian girl Marisol because of Marisol’s inspiring zine. As the title suggests, John crushes on Marisol who cannot return his love back because of their different sexuality. Although it is kind of a hard love story, the problem whether John actually falls in love with Marisol stirs up a great number of discussion and debate. Some people insists that John just admires or becomes depend on but do not love Marisol because Marisol just appears during John’s struggle period.
