The key steps in voting is you have to be at least 18 years old. If you are 18 you have to register to vote. You cannot vote unless you have registered or enrolled with your local government first. Political parties and campaign staff are eager to help people register to vote, especially people who they believe will support their candidates. It is important to become informed about the issues and candidates that will be on the ballot. They often do this on tv commercials or through social media. The most common technique would be for the candidate to label or criticize opposing candidates he or she is running against. Another propaganda is testimonial which is having a celebrity or expert support you. You can also use bandwagon as a way of propaganda. You do this by showing a large group of people supporting the candidate. Having the candidate meet with the “common people” is another kind of propaganda because this shows how easily the candidate is to talk to and shows they can relate to the average person. There’s many types of propaganda like spin where you use a statistic or event in a beneficial way, card stacking where you only talk about their positive accomplishments, and labeling which is calling the opponent something negative.
