At the beginning of the presentation, I would like to share a shocking fact: can you imagine that sexualized female bodies and nudity, are a regular fixture of a famous animal rights organization? This is what exactly happens in an animal rights organization, PETA’s protests and ads. As intersectional feminism becomes a new branch of feminism, how can it reinterpret human-animal relationship and this kind of phenomenon? Today, I would like to explain how this reinterpretation could happen through decentering human dominance and reinterpreting human-animal relationship as a dynamic structure interacting with other power systems.
