Christianity changed and developed in many ways. At one point Christianity was illegal to the Roman Empire. Christianity was considered illegal because of the fact that they did not believe that the Roman emporer was a god/superior and did not join the Roman army. Later in the years, the Roman Empire fell under the rule of Constantine. Constantine believed in the religion of Christianity, which helped the fact that most of the Empire was converted to Christian. Paul also supported Christianity. Infact he was a missionary. He helped convert Jews to Christians. Therefore, at this point the Roman Empire did not believe in the Roman gods, but in Christianity.

For they executed all Christians because they did not join the roman army for they believed in peace and they didn’t believe that the roman emperor was god. Then later when a Roman Emperor called Constantine saw a cross in the sky saying conquer in the name of Christ. Later he believed that he one this war because of the one true God. This is why he then converted into a Christian. He then converted the whole Roman Empire in the main religion Christianity. As more people started to practice the religion, emperors were determined to destroy the religion and declared it illegal. The emperors crucified and burnt the Christians to death. The actions of bravely facing death brought new followers to the religion. When Constantine became emperor, he announced that Christianity can be practiced openly. Eventually, it became the official religion of the Roman Empire. Because of this, the following emperors would also practice Christianity.

This caused disputes and fights that needed to be resolved. Many people didn’t like this, but slowly, more people developed the idea that Christianity was the right path to follow. Christianity started to be accepted. A missionary named Paul, spoke about the teachings of Jesus.

Christianity, after Jesus's crucifix action, took off. From being a hated religion by the Romans to become the empire's official religion. Christianity has been on a roller coaster ride. Christianity was hated by pretty much all of the Roman emperors. Still, when Constantine issued the edict of Milan after winning a battle under Jesus's name, he decided to change Rome's official religion to Christianity from their polytheistic ways. Furthermore, Theodosius the 1st was also madly in love with the belief and drove even more people to convert to Christianity.

In the beginning there were few followers and the religion was the reason of so many executions. They saw it as a threat to the government because the Christians refused to serve in the army, refused to worship other gods and except the emperor as a god. And eventually it became Rome’s official religion. Paul was also a big influencer. He went form persecuting Christians to leading them. He became a missionary and converts gentiles to this new religion. He taught people to believe in Jesus as the son of god and that everyone is god’s children.

Christianity developed and changed in many ways. At first, it was just a small group of disciples following a man named Jesus who spoke at different churches and public places. He was originally a Jew, and spread many of its important laws. He specifically preached about the importance of having love, mercy, loving God, and treating everyone the way you want to be treated. He started to gain followers rapidly, beginning to pose as a threat to the Romans. They were worried he would lead a revolt, so he was crucified. Three days after his death, he rose from the dead and appeared to his followers. Even before the Resurrection, Jews thought he was the Messiah that God had sent to save them. This only convinced them further that he was the Son of God and by following his teachings, you would be saved. Many years after his death, four of his faithful followers decided to write the Gospels, which were records of his life and teachings. As more people began converting to the Christian faith and becoming missionaries, Christianity spread rapidly throughout the empire. Christians were brutally tortured for their religion but over time, because of their bravery and devotion, they attracted even more followers to the religion. Until eventually, Constantine proposed the Edict of Milan, claiming all Christians should be able to practice their religion openly and by 380 C.E., Christianity was the official religion of the Roman Empire. It started from a few followers listening to a man preaching in churches and public areas to a religion that spread over the entirety of the Roman Empire and have millions hope and purpose.

At the starting Christianity only had very few followers but as time went on Christianity gained more followers. Soon Christianity was all over Europe and was starting to be noticed by the emperors but they just saw it as another religion. Things changed when Christianity stopped listening to Roman rules and soldiers who believed in Christianity quit since Christianity is all about spreading love and care and not harming creatures. Now it was affecting the Roman Empire so the emperor took action, they forbade practices of Christianity and killed anyone who still followed it. This all changed when Constante saw a vision of Jesus, later that night he also mentioned having a dream about Jesus. So when they were going to war again Constante told his soldiers to wear a cross on their shield as a sign of seeking help from Jesus. When they won the war Constante himself considered him to be a Christine. He then made Christianity legal and the Roman Empire And the church merged. This allowed the bishops to controls areas and translated the the Bible into Latin.

Christianity first had only few people supporting it. After that many people started to agree what Christianity supports, like to love God and it does not matter what you eat or whoever you are, you just need to show love for God. When people started to agree with that idea and they did not agree that Roman emperors are gods, the Roman emperors didn’t like it. They didn’t like the idea of Christianity so they were sentenced to die. When Constantine was there, he legalized Christianity because of the victory in a battle and now Christianity is the State religion in Rome.

Christianity developed an changed the Roman Empire because it merged with the religion. Judaism and Christianity split into two different religions, then bishops were assigned to control the defense of the cities. And Latin became the official language of the Bible. Another reason was because Paul, a missionary, helped spread Christianity. Before he persecuted Christians but eventually helped convert people to be Christians. Constraints also allowed Christians to practice their religion and soon Christianity became the official religion of Rome.
