 غسلِ الوجهِ والكفّينِ، وغسلِ الأسنانِ، والوضوءِ. كثيرٌ منَ النّاسِ لا يعرفونَ كميّةَالهدرِ في الماءِ في أثناءِ تركهِمُ 
 الصّنبورَ مفتوحًا. لمعرفةِ كميّةِ هذا الهدرِ أفعلُ ما يأتي:
•أضعُ وعاءً لتجميعِ الماءِ في المغسلةِ.
•أُجهّزُ وعاءً/ كوبًا معلومَ الحجمِ (وعاءً للقياسِ، مثلَ: علبةِ لبنٍ، قارورةِ ماءٍ، وغيرِها)؛ لاستخدامِهِ في قياسِ حجمِ الماءِ المُتَجَمِّعِ في وعاءِ التّجميعِ.
•أغسلُ يديَّ بالصّابونِ(يمكنُني الوضوءُ أوْ غسلُ أسناني)، وأتركُ الصّنبورَ مفتوحًا طيلةَ الوقتِ حتّى أُنهيَ الغسلَ.
•أقيسُ حجمَ الماءِ المتجمّعِ في الوعاءِ        ( V1 )، وأسجلُ ما توصلْتُ إليهِ في  الجدولِ أدناهُ.
•أُكرّرُ العمليّةَ معَ إغلاقِ الصّنبورِ عندَ عدمِ الحاجةِ إلى الماءِ، سواءٌ في أثناءِ غسلِ يديَّ، أوْ أسناني، أوْ عندَ الانتقالِ منْ عضوٍ إلى آخرَ في أثناءِ الوضوءِ.
•أقيسُ حجمَ الماءِ المتجمّعِ في الوعاءِ معَ إغلاقِ الصّنبورِ ( V2 )، وأسجلُ ماتوصلت إليهِ في الجدولِ أدناهُ.
•أحسبُ حجمَ الماءِ المهدورِ بحسابِ ( V2 -V1 )، وأسجّلُ النتائجَ في الجدولِ أدناهُ.
•أُكرّرُ الخطواتِ السابقةَ مرّةً أخرى، وأحسبُ حجمَ الماءِ المهدورِ. مستعينًا بأحدِ أفرادِ أسرتي، معَ تغييرِ النّشاطِ كلَّ مرّةٍ.
•أعرضُ النتائجَ الّتي حصلْتُ عليها أمامَ أفرادِ أسرتي أوْ زملائي، وأوضّحُ أهميّةَ إغلاقِ الصّنبورِ للحدِّ منِ استنزافِ الماءِ في منزلي.
•أضعُ مقترحاتي للتّقليلِ منْ هدرِ الماءِ واستنزافِهِ وإعادةِ استخدامِهِ، وأتّفقُ معَ أفرادِ أسرتي لتطبيقِها.
•أتبادلُ النّتائجَ معَ زملائي في المدرسةِ، ونقدّرُ معًا حجمَ الماءِ المهدورِ في أثناءِ غسلِ اليدينِ، مثلً في يومٍ/ أسبوعٍ/ شهرٍ.
