Dickinson refers to the world's hand like a robber to her poetry. In lines 5 and 6, she vocalizes, “[Nature's] committed  / to hands I cannot see,..." Her writing, which comes from Nature's inspiration, now belongs to the strangers of the world. It is clear that her writing is what alienates her from the rest of the world, that her courtesy of writing to the world has not been extended back to her. Alliteration is seen when Emily uses words like never, news, and nature, this is alliteration because of the repeated first letter, N. In this poem Dickinson uses alliteration to emphasize those words. Alliteration is very easily noticed and stands out from the rest of the poem. Words that give away that the tone is gloomy is "The simple News that nature told." this represents nature and how it grows and always ends up dying. Making this poem sad. The pro nouns that Emily uses are me and her and doesn't include any pro nouns like us and we.
