Thursday night, federal judge Kathleen Williams issued an order to close Trump's infamous immigration jail in the Florida Everglades. She determined that the jail was causing harm to the fragile ecosystem and land surrounding it, similar to previous airport proposals for the area that were shot down due to this same issue. Williams said, "It sends a clear message that environmental laws must be respected by leaders at the highest levels of our government, and there are consequences for ignoring them.”

Many houses are affected by this. The project would have to rebuild 30,000-60,000 houses to protect them from troubling waters. There is also an idea to build a long stretch of sea wall.
