The N.A.A.C.P. is the national association on for the advancement of colored people. They fought through courts to end segregation, pushed for laws to be made about lynching, and tried to insure that African American men could exercise the right to vote under the 15th amendment. The founding members of the N.A.A.C.P. were W.E.B. Du Bois, Jane Addams, Ida B. Wells-Barnett, Lillian Wald, Mary White Ovington, Henry Moskowitz, William English Walling, Archibald Grimke, and it was founded in 1909. This organization was not successful, despite their efforts the federal government refused to pass any laws against lynching.

The problem they were trying to solve was lynching, racist violence, and equality against racism. They tried fixing it through peaceful boycotting . One of their biggest racism cases, their most famous or known case for racial equality was the case against Rosa Parks. They decided to hold a bus boycott on December 5, the word was spread through leaflets and church services. On the day of the boycott, a sign at a montgomery bus stop said, "people, dont ride the bus today. "Dont ride it for freedom." 90% percent of AA didnt ride the bus that day.

The work of this person has affected us by the way think of colored people. Due to their efforts for racial equality, today is greatly different than the founding days of the N.A.A.C.P. Today there is racial equality, there isn't any segregation nor lynching.
