2.1 The purpose of this organization is to support the Eleanor Roosevelt High School Mustang

Theatre program with financial and volunteer support. The purpose shall be accomplished

through:

2.1.1 Developing communication and working relationships between the parents, students, and

staff of the Eleanor Roosevelt High School Mustang Theatre program.

2.1.2 Provide framework for fundraising to support the Eleanor Roosevelt High School Mustang

Theatre program shows, camps, competitions, activities, and events.

2.1.3 Provide volunteers to support the Eleanor Roosevelt High School Mustang Theatre

program shows, camps, competitions, activities, and events.

1. Start and End on Time

   • Respect everyone’s schedules by being prompt.

2. Be Prepared

   • Review the agenda and any reports ahead of time.

   • Come with questions, ideas, and updates.

3. Stay Focused on the Mission

   • Keep students’ success, the theatre program, and show needs as the central focus.

4. Everyone Gets a Voice

   • Encourage input from all members, especially new ones.

   • Listen actively and don’t interrupt.

5. Keep It Positive and Respectful

   • Assume good intent, avoid personal criticisms.

   • Disagree respectfully—focus on solutions.

6. One Speaker at a Time

   • Avoid side conversations.

   • Use hand-raising or structured turns if needed.

7. Stick to the Agenda

   • Follow the order of topics unless the group agrees to shift.

   • Table unrelated issues for later.

8. No Surprises

   • Bring up concerns early, not at the last minute.

   • Use email or subcommittees for detailed discussions if needed.

9. Be Action-Oriented

   • Focus on what needs to be done, not just discussion.

   • Assign clear tasks and deadlines.

10. Support Final Decisions

• Once a decision is made by the group, everyone supports it—even if they disagreed during discussion.
