Huck Finn is an example of a book that could be banned due to its offensive language. Set in the American south during the mid nineteenth century (mid 1800's), slavery was very common and is a topic of discussion in Huck Finn. Throughout the novel, in multiple cases, Jim, who is a slave, is referneced by deragayorive names. This is seen as offensive by people and has become a heated topic of weather or not to ban Huck Finn.
