Greece is a country that is surrounded on three sides by the sea (Mediterranean sea) and has many islands. This is the reason why, apart from trees, as a tradition to decorate a boat in our houses, balconies, squares, seas.

A tasty traditional sweet that we make at Christmas in our country is "melomakarona". The main ingredients for the dough are: eggs, cinammon, orange juice, sugar, flour, seed oil, baking, soda. For the syrup we need water, sugar and honey.

These days greek houses smell beautifully because of kourabiedes. They are cookies with almonds, butter, icing sugar, flavoured with herbs.
