I go back and forth between AI being a great thing and it not being good for the classroom. I think I get really nervous using it. I feel like people have become way too reliant on ChatGPT for things you could easy just speak to a peer about.

(3) Although there are so many benefits to using AI as an educator -- I believe when it comes to human connection, it is diminished. Rather than networking with the other teachers to inquire about resources or discuss as a team, AI makes it easy to find an answer without taking that extra step for human connection.

I think AI can enhance some forms of human commendation but maybe not all. AI can provide a lot of great ideas and inspiration you can bring to your class room. Lately I’ve been using AI to help generate some writing sentences using my students spelling words, which has been a big time saver. Although AI can be great, I think people can use it in a negative way such as cheating on homework/tests, projects, assignments, etc. I think teachers also might rely too heavily on it at times.

I think it can diminish human connection because I notice my students saying they can just use chat gpt to answer any questions they have. They say they don’t need to learn because of it (some students) but there are a lot of benefits like Curipod, which I use, because students are very interactive with it and enjoy it

Additionally, this can lessen the workload of the teacher as we have many tech resources at our fingertips such as AI and premade materials by other teachers found on the web.
