CPR, or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, is a lifesaving technique. To be simple, CPR is when one preforms chest compressions on the individual, precisely 100 chest compressions a minute. It’s also important to know when CPR is needed. If the person is unconscious, or unable to respond because of a lack of air, then the green light is given. An AED should also be present, if possible.

In 8th grade, I took a half semester health class as an elective. In the class we learned many things, including CPR. Since it was an in-person class, it was a great opportunity to preform CPR hands on. We practiced on dummies, and I found that CPR is easier than I originally thought. It’s more an art of precision, strength, and rhythm if anything.
