I will be focusing on becoming a pro MLB baseball player in the future. Ever since I started playing little league baseball when I was younger, I thought I could go long. I really love the sport when I started playing on the JV team at my high school. I was brought up for 4 games as a freshman and half the year as a sophomore because I told myself if I practice hard and put the effort in I will get moved up.

My hero and mentor that taught things by playing his spot like the number one short stop in the game of baseball. He was smuggled into the US at the age of 18 in 2008 from Cuba. Jose was at a high risk if getting caught by authorities. He could be sent back to to Cuba on a plane and sent to prison. The major scare to him is not being able to see his parents, so now his relationship with his parents is permanently changed.

A mentor that can help me out is Ron Johnston one of our assistant coaches. Another person that could help mentor me is Brandon Erla who is playing at the collage level, at Clery College. Also someone else that could help me is Jon Berti, my cousin, who was signed by the Toronto Blue Jays. Ron Jon who knows a lot about the game is a good asset to me. He can provide me with efficient training to become an MLB player in the future to come. Brandon Erla, who has played many years on varsity baseball and soon to play in college will also be an asset to me. He can train me on the skills he was taught by the coaches of our baseball program. As soon as he gets a year in during his baseball season, he will be able to tell me what the coaches at the college level are looking for. He also played for travel team where he was challenged by others to become a better player. He versed many athletic baseball players that were better than him, but those players made Brandon a better baseball player.

Some skills that I definitely need to change is my attitude. My attitude sucks when I put myself down especially on mistakes. When I make an error I always end up getting really mad and make even more errors, which is a really bad habit. Some mistakes may cost you the game and that is where it gets worse. The thing is though we all make mistakes and we just need to learn from them like I did. If you end up making another mistake or error in my case, we need to keep are heads up high and not let ourselves put us down. When someone else makes a mistake and I end up saying a few words to them. After I say those few words, I say to myself, "I did the same exact thing and I didn't get yelled at by my teammates".

My plan for achieving this goal is to make it on a travel team that has scouts looking for players to play at the college level. Once I have made it onto a travel team, I will have to practice almost everyday during school and in the summer to become a better player. An even better thing to do is to go to as many college camps where player and coaches can also help. I may even need to get a personal trainer who will push to get better everyday. I'm gonna have to work very hard very hard to become what I want to be in the future and if another athlete is working hard, I am going to have to work even harder than him.
