The information about communication that connects with what I already knew is that knowing English is very important in this community, because there are many people from other countries that don't speak Spanish or prefer English, so English is very important for the communication of this enviorment. An example from this is Miss Camila, because she said that something she likes about knowing English is that she can communicate and help people that come from other places that are more comfortable speaking English.

The new idea that I realized from an English teacher was that you can also develop your linguistic and interactive skills of communication by reading/listening in English from different places (USA, UK, Australia…), because they have different vocabularies.

The challenges/puzzles in terms of language and interaction were mostly between my team, because we barely spoke to each other.}, due to that in my opinion we were a little bit lost. Also, when we had to ask questions, we were very desicronized.

The information we collected was connected to what I already knew especially when we spoke to Ms. Francisca and she told us she learned English through movies and music and such. I knew this worked because being exposed to an environment that speaks in the language you want to learn, you start to pick up some words and their meanings within the context of the media you're consuming.

I realized that in addition to just speaking, hand gestures tone of voice, volume, facial expressions (or the way eyes look) all play a bigger role in communication than we often realize.

I am not a very talkative person but I can be. However, my challenge is allowing myself to speak. I wanted to ask some of my own personal questions to Ms Karin in lower school since she's able to juggle 3 languages at once.

Well, I knew that in order to work quickly we had to work as a team to get information!

I realized that communication takes a big part of collaboration. You can't work together if you don't communicate, after all you can read people's minds.
What challenges or puzzles did you face in terms of collaboration?

Again, I am not very talkative, so I found myself being very quiet with my group. Not to mention the fact that when I was supposed to be speaking English (which is the easiest form of communication for me) I found myself speaking Spanish in fear of judgment. Again the challenge here was myself and how I only allowed myself to communicate in specific situations.
