This article is about social hierarchies especially on ethnic racial hierarchy and how this affects our community and how human lives are getting mistreated.This article supports my social theory because it shows us how society is treating us disrespectfully and  how we look like and what class we belong to. A piece of evidence that I found in the article is "They are always treated as the best and the most superior to all because they don't have any flaws in there white complexion." What that means is white is all above the social class. The other evidence is about how black people get treated not the same as white people the evidence is "They are so much exploited that they are treated inferior all over the world and are considered as half-apes because of their physical features." This article is talking about gentrification and how people from our community are leaving and don't know where to go which treats human lives in danger.This is similar to my social theory because the article shows us that how society can be bad and how it affects humans. "Ones position in the social class hierarchy may impact their life for example, health, family life, education, religious affiliation, political participation, and experience with the criminal justice system." People are so desperate to survive this  social hierarchy. Gentrification has been targeted mostly on Oakland and people who live in Oakland mostly move out "We can also tell from census data that people of color are leaving Oakland in record numbers. Since 2000, the city has lost 30% of its black population- a notable trend for a city that was once 47 percent black, and home to the black panther." This article talks about how there would be a world where there is no social hierarchy and how all of this is happening in our community and all around the world wouldn't be happening. This supports my social theory because this article shows how society would work without social hierarchy and specifically on ethnic racial hierarchy. If society would look like a perfect world it would look like a society without sexism, racism, and other forms of oppression. With this kind of solution this will stop the social hierarchy and people will not rank each other. This will help the poor class rise up and be equal to everyone.
