         <description><![CDATA[<div>Digital storytelling is the art of telling engaging and interactive stories using computer-based tools.  Digital stories can include a variety of different tech elements, such as  graphics, audio, video, and web publishing. <br>Digital stories are usually about 2-10 minutes long, and they can range from historical stories, to personal stories, to fictional stories.          <description><![CDATA[<div>As a Middle School Foreign Language teacher, I do not require my students to write stories...<strong> YET!</strong> The level of Spanish I teach (level 1) is very basic. <br>In order to introduce vocabulary and grammar concepts, in the past I have created short stories on Notebook (on my SMART Board). From these stories, I ask students simple questions in the target language in order to measure their comprehension. <br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I attended a seminar on TPR (Total Physical Response) a couple of years ago, and I have incorporated a few concepts of the language teaching method in my class. TPR relies on storytelling, which is something I would love to do more in my classroom. <br>I have found that when I tell my students stories in Spanish, they seem very engaged and they pay attention. Digital Storytelling seems to be the next step for me to explore. <br><br></div>]]></description>
