Developed specifically for the school-aged child, KASPER provides care for children attending District 54 elementary schools. The KASPER program gives children a safe space before and after school to explore new opportunities, learn new skills, make meaningful friendships and test their creativity and imagination. Our staff and volunteers commit to creating a nurturing community that supports each child’s individuality and unique interests. Activities include arts and crafts, sports, games, creative play, outdoor recreation and more. A quiet area is provided for children who wish to do homework.

I will be one of the counselors at Churchill Elementary school, Every Monday I will attend the school from 3:30 to 5:30 to watch over kids help them with homework and engage in activities

Education helps to reduce inequalities and to reach gender equality. It also empowers people everywhere to live more healthy and sustainable lives. Education is also crucial to fostering tolerance between people and contributes to more peaceful societies. To deliver on Goal 4, education financing must become a national investment priority. Furthermore, measures such as making education free and compulsory, increasing the number of teachers, improving basic school infrastructure and embracing digital transformation are essential.

Even if students spend over twelve years in a school system, they may not gain significant improvements in productivity if the quality of their education was poor.

The new study highlights the importance of improving the quality of education, not just increasing the number of years students spend in school, in order to promote economic development. Most legislators recognize the connection between education and economic growth, but they often ignore the distinction between the quantity and quality of education.

Although Illinois schools are accessing more state funds, performance is inert. This occurrence can be traced back to unnecessary raises in teacher pay and manipulation of the General State Aid. Many policy makers simply say increasing the money supply to failing schools in the state will solve the problem completely. But unfortunately, additional monies do not always improve outcomes.

According to the Illinois Policy Institute, education spending in the state has been growing at an average nominal rate of over 5% annually since 1994, and yet, student test results are not showing signs of improvement. Some of the state’s lowest performing schools also have been receiving an increase in funding, with no progress.
