Facilitator: NUR ANNIS NAZIRA BINTI MOHAMMAD AZAM

In the third week, the title is pillars of faith. Here it is told why there are three types of tawhid? And the answer is that when the prophet came to the Quraish community, the Quraish people believed in God but still worshiped idols and believed in multiple gods.

In addition to that, idols exist because righteous people die and the community is afraid that the next generation will not remember about righteous people and they decorate their graves to prevent the occurrence of idols. Why do angels exist? This question used to play in my mind and finally I got the answer because to help people and every god made must have wisdom.

There are 3 tawhids, namely rububiyyah, which means recognizing Allah as the only god. The second is uluhiyyah, which is the oneness of worship and asma'wa, the oneness of Allah's names and attributes.

Next, believe in the book because other books are not guaranteed to be preserved because they have been added and processed. The evidence that God preserves the Qur'an can be witnessed by easy memorization of the Qur'an. Believing in the messenger is that we believe what was conveyed by the messenger and last but not least is the hereafter which is obligatory to believe that it will happen but we do not know when.

Therefore, as Muslims it is obligatory for us to believe and hold on to this so that life does not go astray.

Facilitator: NUR ANNIS NAZIRA BINTI MOHAMMAD AZAM

In week 4, I was given three more pillars of Islam, namely belief in rasul and anbiya, belief in the hereafter and belief in qada' and qadar. Belief in rasul and anbiya means it is compulsory to have belief in rasul and anbiya. Lack of/non-belief means that we are kufr. The wisdom we get is completing our faith as a Muslim.

The second is belief in the hereafter which means that all our deeds regardless of reward or sin will be rewarded in the afterlife and wisdom when we believe is closer to Allah.

The last is Qada which is something that has been decided by Allah swt for all his creations, whether it is in terms of its creation, destruction or changes. Whereas qadar is something that has been set at a certain amount since the beginning of time. And the wisdom for this is to become confident in his rulings.

So we must believe in the pillars of this faith

The word usrah is taken from “al usrah”. Addtionally, “usrah” can be translated as “family”,signifying a sense of community and unity.

Next, understand the true meaning of manners and knowledge.Adab is derived from and arabic word, meaning behavior and good deeds, while knowledge from S.Naquib Al Attas (2007) defines that knowledge is the arrival of meaning in a person. From Iman Al-Ghazali’s point of view, knowledge is the esence of all things.

Last but not least, knowledgeable manners and the advantages of reading the Qur'an have been given by my facilitator. As a student this matter must be absorbed and used in life in order to be blessed by God.

Facilitator : NUR ANNIS NAZIRA BINTI MOHAMMAD AZAM

In this penultimate week, I learned about The concept of Courtesy & its Relation to Islamic Eschatology. Ihsan is when we do worship as if God is visible while eschatology is hereafter. there is a real concept of kindness and connection with eschatology which is

1) GIVING GOODNESS TO OTHER PEOPLE/PARTY

2) GIVE BENEFITS TO OTHER PEOPLE/PARTY AT THE BEST LEVEL POSSIBLE MAYBE

3) DOING THINGS 1 AND 2 BECAUSE ALLAH S.W.T

There are also 3 stories of prophets with al muhsin, namely prophet nuh a.s, prophet ibrahim a.s and prophet yusof a.s. The story of the prophet can be taken from surah 37 surah as saffat verse 79 and 80 which is given as an example of him conveying monotheism to the people and never giving up.

In addition, the story of the prophet Ibrahim is quoted from reprimanding his father and giving the effect of being driven out. Finally, the story of Nabi Yusoh taken from Nabi Yusof was seduced by Al Aziz's wife Zulaikha when Al Aziz was away and she ran away because she did not want to betray Al Aziz.

Facilitator : NUR ANNIS NAZIRA BINTI MOHAMMAD AZAM

in the sixth week, there are 3 that I learn which are manners with parents, manners with neighbors and manners when studying.

Here manners with parents are mandatory things that children need to do in order not to become disobedient children. Various aspects that include these manners such as do not say rude things to parents.

In addition, children also need to carry out their duties as children as best as possible. From the aspect of neighborly manners, we should respect each other because they are like a family. This can be taken as an example of the prophet's friend who was mistreated by his neighbor but he did not respond to the act because he remembered that the angel said that the neighbor was the heir. He was very kind because he still considered their neighbor as the heir.

Finally, study manners, various manners that students need to follow such as respecting the teacher and waking up when the teacher wakes up. This etiquette needs to be emphasized in order to be able to reflect oneself as a true Muslim

Spiritual Reflection: During prayer, individuals engage in self-reflection, which promotes awareness of one's thoughts and behaviors, helping them to avoid wrongdoing.

3. Connection with Allah: Prayer serves as a reminder of Allah’s presence and authority, instilling a consciousness that discourages sinful behavior.

4. Community Aspect: Congregational prayers promote a sense of accountability and support among believers, fostering an environment where individuals encourage one another to lead righteous lives.

5. Focus on Values: The recitations in prayer emphasize moral values and teachings from the Quran, reinforcing ethical behavior and helping individuals align their actions with Islamic principles.

6.

Sawm, or fasting during the month of Ramadan, is deeply intertwined with the concepts of sabr (patience) and rahmah (mercy).

Sabr: Fasting requires significant self-discipline and endurance. Muslims abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn until sunset, which cultivates patience and perseverance. This practice helps individuals develop a stronger will and the ability to withstand challenges, fostering a mindset that embraces resilience in both spiritual and worldly matters.

Rahmah: Fasting also serves as a reminder of Allah's mercy.

Ukhwah (brotherhood) and tawakkul (trust in Allah) are essential concepts in the context of zakat (almsgiving) in Islam.

Ukhwah: Zakat fosters a sense of community and brotherhood among Muslims. By sharing wealth with those in need, zakat strengthens social bonds and promotes solidarity. It encourages individuals to care for one another, creating a support system that uplifts the less fortunate. This communal responsibility reinforces the idea that wealth is not solely for individual benefit but is meant to circulate within the community, ensuring that everyone has their basic needs met.

Tawakkul: Tawakkul emphasizes reliance on Allah while performing acts of charity like zakat. Muslims are encouraged to trust that their giving will yield spiritual rewards and that Allah will provide for them in return. This trust alleviates the fear of loss associated with giving away wealth, fostering a mindset that recognizes Allah as the ultimate provider. Tawakkul in zakat reflects a deep faith that one’s sustenance is in Allah's hands, promoting a sense of peace and contentment in the act of giving.

Together, ukhwah and tawakkul enhance the practice of zakat, transforming it into a powerful tool for social cohesion and spiritual growth.
