The podcast talked about the benefits of reading on our mental health.
Growing up, our parents might used to read bedtime stories for us, studies have shown that there are helpful and inestimable perks of reading like stress reduction and memory retention. While we are attached and engaged with the book, it's due to the genre, narrative structures, or the information mentioned in the book. Reading was provoked by the world to be a boring thing meanwhile it's actually a fun activity but it needs to be involved in our schedules, researchers found that humans have 100 billion neurons wich are the basic constitution of the nervous system, through age they die unless we keep them active and one of the best ways to keep them activated is by reading. While reading our brains have what is called synoptical connections that can be increased and enhanced by creativity and critical thinking for example people who develop wisdom at a young age by reading wich why there synoptical connections is always activated.
