Jegi is already a game that originated from the ancient Gongchagi, Chukguk. The word jegi or jegi chagi is a Korean expression of Chukguk. In the early days of the Joseon Dynasty, the country for kicking a ball was called 'Deogi', but after the 18th century, it was changed to 'Jegi' after passing through 'Jegi' or 'Jeongi'. At first, Gong was used as a jig, but other gigi such as Geon, Geonja, and Cheokgeonja appeared in addition to Gong. In particular, the Cheokgeonja was a children's jegi made by weaving paper or hair onto a heavy object.
