We all know that keeping students interesting in the class is really hard since there are many elements that can distract them such as simple conversations with their friends and classmates or electronic devices such as the cellphone, that is why it is important to make this a benefit. Besides taking their interests into consideration, teachers also can use technology as a way to keep students motivated with the class and this strategy can be useful with different topics that the teacher might have to cover. 

These days most students have a mobile phone, therefore, instead of banning them,
 letting your students play with them might be a good way to mantain their attention 
in the class and also this could be a way to do something different and avoid monotony.

·       Kahoot and Poll Everywhere: they are voting systems in which the teacher writes a question and the students vote for the best alternative.

·       Bookwidgets: the teacher can make interactive exercises for the students and they are able to use their tablets, computers and smartphones. 

·       Quizlet: is a quiz tool used for terms and definitions. The first step is to add a class and make a quiz. Students can download the app (even if it is just for one lesson) and look for the quizz created by the teacher. Another benefit of this app is that they can even make their own study sets. Therefore, this app can be used if they want to study at home as well.

·       Socrative:  is another app in which you can create quizzes. Here the students have to enter the quiz by entering a unique code in Socrative’s smartphone app.

·       Adobe Spark: is an intuitive app that lets teachers and students create animated videos in minutes. You or your students only have to add clips and import videos and images, texts and/or music. In this video creator/editor, students can easily add and trim video clips to make their videos stand in the classroom. This app can be useful when the teacher asks for videos about jobs, travel, traditions, mythology or any other topic which task is making a video about.

·       Lucidchart: it allows students and teachers to create plenty of different diagrams like flow charts, mind maps and wire frames.

·       Padlet: it can be used by students and by teachers. With this app you can create an online board that you can share with whoever you want just by sharing the link with them. You will be able to write ideas and design your own board with colors and font and add images and videos for it to be more interesting to watch and read.

·       Airserver: is an application that helps you to mirror your screen to the computer. This way students can show everyone what they are doing, some examples they want to share, some images and videos as well. This app can be useful when they have oral presentations or maybe if the teacher asks them to do a job, food or cultural fair, in order to show people whatever they want them to see and know.

Furthermore, Internet is a way of getting knowledge and producing knowledge, and this is the reason why Internet and cellphones and laptops or whichever device students use, can be useful in the classroom, even if it is with games or quizzes, because Internet and digital gadgets are now the reality for not only students but people in most parts of the world, and integrating something that they use in their daily lives to the classroom will prevent distractions and will engage students to learn in a different way.
