I listen to mainly African music and Gospel music. I listen to R&B once in a while but I am a very one type of music person. My first option is to listen to African music. I grew up in an African household and that is all I really listened it. I love the beat of the drums and how they have everything flow together. I was born a dancer which made my love for African music even more deeper. I love to dance traditionally and show it off anytime I can. I also always listen to that type of music because I love showcasing my culture and getting people to listen to it. It takes me to my most happiest place. It's never a dull moment when when I am listening to music. To go even more into detail I listen to Nigerian music most. It just shows who I am as a person. I am very unashamed and love my culture. Getting people to listen to my music makes me so happy because I just didn't get them into my culture it shows that I do a good job of showcasing my culture. The big artists that I love to listen to is Wizkid, Davido, and Tiwa Savage. A lot of the music doesn't really have deep meanings which I like because I just want to have fun. This music is played at parties, get together, etc. I haven't really changed my music taste. I have been listening to the same music since middle school. I am also a singer which is where gospel comes into play. Gospel songs take me into the spirit where I am very much connected with God. It shows my range very well and I listen to more female singers when listening to Gospel. Music helps me to get out of my comfort zone. I use dancing cultural to keep a part of me. I use music to come up with dances and make remixes to songs while singing it. I also love playing my music really loud and hearing the bass because it makes me feel on top of the world and makes me extremely happy.
