For my research i had to find out about what a title sequence is and i learned that the title sequence could tell you different things about the movie or show such as the genre, their audience. If the title sequence in colorful and had a fun like music; it would more likely be family or children who are targeted as audience and the genre would more likely be comedy or drama or if the music has a dark it would have a strange sound.

However there are some title sequences do not show you what the show would be about but sometimes only introduce the character e.g. In Hollyoaks the characters are introduced by having the main characters in the title sequence; all the characters are introduced but the title sequence/ intro does not actually tell you what the soap or show does not show or even hinting what its about but through the friendly and colorful attitude it shows that it is mostly aimed at young people.
I also learned about what a trailer is to show the viewers what the move would be about. Through the trailer a viewer would be able to tell the genre of the movie, who is in the movie(famous actor or actress) and maybe a bit of the best parts of the movie to get the viewers attention.

Today I wrote scrip and did a risk assessment sheet. the way I did the script was wrong so sir helped me with how it is meant to look like a script and by using a script formatting to show me how to make a header, where the dialogue goes and how the action is meant to be clear. I also struggled with coming up a with a dialogue of how the group of friends were meant to fight or argue because I was planning on making my short film to not have any dialogue and to only be done by action but I was told by my teammate that I had to have script so the reason I struggled with coming up with dialogue is because I wasn't planning on making them fight but for the friends to totally just ignore the main character. other ideas were added to the story such as having the friends text each other and arguing then coming to the balcony because the main character becomes angry then the surprise party takes place. the character isn't scared as my story they were supposed to but the character is now acting through anger and not by fear .I am still struggling with coming up with what the texting between the friends should include. I am planning on changing the story because when my team is doing work the ideas and story could change to make it better or worse but when the work is being done it may be changed from I have written now later on.

I searched some videos to find out about how I could show the texting between the two characters on the short film and how I could edit the text in. I could show the texts by either showing bubbles on screen or by showing the two characters phone by showing each members point of viewer as in them typing and replying and texting each other. I am going to do more research about how I could edit this on the videos that I have to edit for the short film
I couldn't use this one because it says I have to pay money. but I have found a different way to use text. but its not as good as this one but it works

My feedback was about how I could make the group of friends make the main character be scared to come to the balcony e.g. make it seem like they are bullying the main character. Another example could be to start a fight within the group of friends which could lead the other groups to avoid and leave the main character out. for the birthday party scene how to make the party part and the equipment needed e.g. table cake poppers and music lighting ..

what went well for the shooting is that we got to shoot a part which is used to make the viewers understand that the two friends were planning a party for the friend; that they were not going to tell the main character another thing that went well is that we took many range of shots which we can choose from when editing. we also had two cameras to shoot the party scene. The party surprise shooting went well.

The story which we were shooting was completely different from the story which we planed. It also got changed around and it also got a little confusing as each team member had a different perspective or idea ways of how the story goes. The story was meant to take at least two days as in today the main character and friends argue and the next day the main character is invited to a room for the party. but the shooting was too short and we only shot a part in the class room the party part. for the editing process it is going to be difficult for the viewers to understand the story line because I was planning on making it a fight or for the viewers to think that the main character is being bullied or being left out so when the main character is going towards the classroom for him to feel scared or for him to be angry; storm towards the classroom making the viewers expect a fight or some type of bullying to take place; But they were not shot. So the story now got shorter by seeing the friends talk and plan the party, the main character joins then lastly the party takes place.

I tried to make the text messages by using PowerPoint but I couldn't make the whole bubbles fit in one whole page so I moved it to word document by using shapes and typing the messages between the two people.

I have attempted using word document but I couldn't make the background invisible eg white , in order and I couldn't find a way I could move the text to adobe premier. but I have found I way I could use and control the texts and put them through adobe photoshoot.

I tried to use adobe photoshoot to make the edit for the text message but it was very difficult to control the shape around like the video I have watched it`s not that easy because the whole text disappears and you can`t change the location of where the text should be so if I wrote a long text and the bubble is too small, you can`t change the shape of the bubble text.

At the end I have managed to make the text bubbles, change the colors to show that two people are texting, I also tried to make the text font a little similar to the original mobile phone text font. So if the viewers see the text bubbles they would get that this is a text message but the shape sizes are a little different.

The shape of the text bubble are all different sizes and a little different from the original texting, so the text bubbles are sometimes long ,too round or too big; depending on the written text messages e.g. if the text is long the bubble would be to big, round or long. the font and writing look different in size because of the bubble sizing and depending on how long the writing is the writing size, font and size of the bubble are all different and I couldn't make them the same size because I was using a new fresh adobe photoshoot for each text message plus the text length was all different e.g. one would be very short text then it would be long. So the size of the text bubble is always too long or too wide depending on the text message. It would also be a lot clearer if i had taken a shot video of who the text was between because there are three characters and for my edit i haven't shot a scene where there are two people texting or just showing somebody looking at their phone and I realized if i had shot these it would have been clearer. In the edit the messages only popup on the screen without showing who the text is between; this is because this was not shot and we only had one day to shoot all of our work.
