Having a relationship with this tech-giant has opened my eyes to new and interesting technology applications for the classroom. I have two more semester to go in my M.E.T. program (graduating in Fall 2019), but this is the class I've been the most excited for. I've put together problem-based learning units, but never a project-based learning unit. I'm excited to incorporate this with my tech-tools knowledge! While I won't be able to put this into immediate practice (I'll be taking a year-long absence after the end of this year to hang out with my son and travel around the world with my family), I'll be itching to try it out in 2020!

I am teaching seniors in English 12. I have all levels: Honors, Advanced, Reg, and the Loop kids (early graduates). I was part of the technology roll-out of my previous school, then helped my current school in their 1:1 initiative. I am fairly decent with technology and like to learn new things about it, but coding and IT is not my jam.

I am a mom to twins who turn one in a month! Because I like to stay busy, I also decided to move from our current house to an old farmhouse with 18 acres so during this class I will be packing, closing on my house, living with my parents, packing again, closing on the next house and then all the renovations start. I am working full time, going to grad school, parenting twins, and moving. Not crazy at all right? In my limited free time, I love being outdoors. Hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, etc. My peaceful place is outside.

Looking forward to this class!
