In class, we used AI to study our theme activities this time. I used AI to find research content according to the requirements of PCA. In the end, I thought that my research direction would focus on technology. Ai gave me a general idea that I could study the problem that international students were rejected by most companies abroad because their names were not localized, but I couldn’t find good information and artists who studied this topic on the Internet.

So I would like to discuss this topic with tutor in the future and determine my topic.

"Going to": mainly expresses existing intentions, plans or predictions. It emphasizes that something has been decided or is happening. It is the planned future tense or the obvious future tense.

In times of crisis, or when we need emotional support, online social network sites are important for enabling us to connect with others. These channels facilitate the rise of informational and emotional support networks, through using such mechanisms as crowdsourcing/crowdfunding these are instrumental in soliciting help/mobilizing assistance (Jin 2023).

Banksy and Sirens of the Lambs use toy animals—pigs, chickens, sheep, and cows—placed on trucks and evoke animal cries to attract passersby's attention. The toy animals, placed on a grimy truck, are mistaken for real animals, driving through American streets. The artwork's power comes from its surprise and emotion. Banksy didn't use words to explain his message. Instead, he used sound, movement, and contrast. By placing innocent-looking toys in a disturbing setting, he encouraged people to reflect on their own role in the food system. (Cronin, K. 2023) Cronin hopes that this work will address unseen issues and encourage people to consider the realities of meat.

I consider "slacktivism" to be the avoidance of cognitive responsibility, focusing on "ease" instead of necessary knowledge. This is because long-term laziness weakens one's ability to solve problems.

The article's description of digital activism left a deep impression on me. I was shocked to discover how quickly social media can spread information, reaching millions of people in minutes.

I believe digital activism can't bring about real change because I feel people online are often hypocritical and sharp, seeking to see results they like. For example, if someone says they're under a lot of pressure online, they're likely to receive fewer people who comfort them than those who mock them.

However, I think this practice is very beneficial because it helps me practice and improve my listening skills. However, I still felt a lot of pressure while doing it, and I often missed information I needed, even after the teacher played the video twice. I often got stuck on words I didn't know, constantly trying to figure out what they meant, and missed important points. I think it's because I don't have enough vocabulary and don't watch enough English videos.

I learned a lot this week, such as not getting hung up on words I don't know and keeping my notes simple, focusing on the important words. I hope to watch more English videos to adjust to the normal speaking speed and memorize more words to avoid overloading myself with unfamiliar ones, so that my listening will become smoother.

I discussed our projects with my group members. I thought Calar's installation was particularly interesting, and her ideas were very clear. I realized I was vague about my own project, so I raised questions with my group members. With the group's help, I clarified my theme and the artwork I wanted to create. The teamwork inspired me to clarify my theme.

Next, I will continue researching my theme and fleshing it out.

Since I'm studying psychological emotions, which are quite ambiguous, I'll try to visualize emotions, such as homesickness or silent discrimination, to better understand the emotions I'm trying to express.

I'd like to place my installation on a lawn because it appears so peaceful, and I think it's a place that evokes emotions, such as sadness and grief. My subject is quite ambiguous, so I want to use this potentially emotionally charged space to reinforce my ideas and visualize our emotions.

Critical thinking allows us to break free from the habit of jumping to conclusions and instead form hypotheses. In college, we encounter complex problems, and we need to use critical thinking to consider them from multiple perspectives.

This project was incredibly challenging at first. I struggled to find relevant resources and felt incredibly stressed. However, after a long search, I discovered that I could simply use Google to find the resources I needed. I searched extensively, but none met my expectations. I then approached AI with my questions and resources, and they were incredibly helpful. They helped me find better resources and, among the many resources available, I was able to select qualifications that interested me. This helped me tremendously.

Weekly Reflection Task – Due Tomorrow If I were to start over, I would skip the tedious process and directly consult AI, but I also feel I need the support and feedback of my professor. I hope that in the future, I can more quickly identify my topic and stay on track.

We looked at six photos and analyzed each one. I learned from the photographer's work that we need to change perspectives to focus the viewer on the visual we want to convey. The photographer also uses critical thinking to evaluate his or her images after each shoot, which is a crucial skill for us.

The listening section's audio became longer, and the vocabulary more complex. The first time I listened, I felt like I didn't understand 50% of it. But after the second and third times, I was able to remember some key words, which made me happy. The reading and essay sections were timed together, and I felt like I didn't have enough time to properly review the reading questions. There were a lot of unfamiliar words. Although I could understand the passage, answering the questions was still very confusing. Furthermore, I didn't manage my time well. I wrote the essay very quickly. I think my score will be between 5.0 and 5.5, as I think this exam was very difficult.

I hope I can manage my time better during the final exam so that I don't rush through the essay.

My reading score was 5.5, which I think is higher than I expected. I thought the reading section was difficult, as I only had a short time to complete a large number of questions and a paper, which was quite challenging for me. Going forward, I will focus on improving my reading skills, memorizing more vocabulary, and practicing reading.

This result surprised me because it's a score I never thought I'd get before. However, I'm also curious about my writing score, as I thought it would be very difficult. I want to know what I can expect in the writing section.

During the presentation, I was so nervous that I forgot some simple words, which made me even more nervous. My bibliography didn't use italics. I should have condensed my research into key points, using only words and phrases, not paragraphs. Practice more to achieve fluency and perfect pronunciation.

Next time, before the final exam, I'll simplify my poster and review it repeatedly to confirm my bibliography. I want to be at my best for the final exam.

I found it quite tricky at the beginning, as sp2 requires us to understand the meaning of the video and summarize it in a short period of time. I think this time is very short and it is a big challenge for me. After listening to the video, we also need to add our own opinions in the summary. However, I got the score I wanted in the final mock exam. For me, l felt it was successful as a result of my hard work in class and my seriousness in the exam. I think this is exactly what I lt went well because l got the results l was looking for.

  In retrospect, I now understand that we don't need to be too nervous. We just need to listen carefully to the teacher in class and use the framework given by the teacher. During the exam, we should carefully repeat the video several times and add our own opinions. The next time I do this activity; I will focus on the content of the video and my own thoughts. I hope I can summarize the views of the video and add my own opinions.
