Oceani so onesnaženi zaradi odlaganja odpadkov in prometa.

Zato, ce bomo onesnazevali oceane bomo imeli velikebprobleme v prihodnosti.

Oceani so prebivališče mnogim živalskim vrstam.

We can use ocens for other things too, like for all kinds of water sports, such as surfing, swimming, diving, water volleyball. But you can also spend your free time on the beach for relaxation and cooling down in the water.
It’s sad how people take oceans for granted.

The oceans are an important resource in the modern world. They are used as a means of transport for large container ships which the modern economy relies on. They are an imprtant source of food and an important social and tourist destination. Even though we heavily rely on the oceans we do not take care of them. They are getting overpolluted and overused. The thing that suffers the most in this is the ecosystem in the ocean. Different animals species are becoming extinct due to pollution and overfishing. The great majority of people do not care about the state of the oceans, as they are not directly influenced by the oceans and therefore do not care as much about the state of them. However, the state is being noticed and actions are being taken to rectify the problem. It is not going to be easy but we can change the environment for the better as humans are mainly the only ones responsible for it and with the power to change it. What we leave behind will show our attitude to the environment we live in to future generations.

Morda med nami, ljudmi in oceani ni prave korelacije in težje razumemo kakšno ogroženost povzročamo vsem prebivalcem planeta z onesnaževanjem voda.

A few days ago I saw a video and it horrified me. I am still not sure what should I think about it, but it just somehow didn't seem right.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeMab9DR0I0&feature=youtu.be

I couldn't get rid of the feeling that I should do something about it. Even though it wouldn't make a huge impact on the current situation. After a lot of thinking about what I could actually do, I' ve come to the conclusion that one can not force others to act more humanely or to be more ecological and cautious about not polluting the oceans. Instead of that we could just show them the reality, the bottoms of oceans covered with plastic. So here are some of the pictures to think about.

1. For every 1 million tons of oil that is shipped, 1 ton is spilled into the ocean

2. Marine creatures swallow plastic bags because they think they are edible jellyfish

3. The amount of mercury near the surface of many of the world’s oceans has tripled as the result of our polluting activities, a new study has found, with potentially damaging implications for marine life as the result of the accumulation of the toxic metal.

Mercury is accumulating in the surface layers of the seas faster than in the deep ocean, as we pour the element into the atmosphere and seas from a variety of sources, including mines, coal-fired power plants and sewage. Mercury is toxic to humans and marine life, and accumulates in our bodies over time as we are exposed to sources of it.

They enable us a lot of transport connections and also offer a lot of sport and fun activities. But the exploitation of the oceans leads to a lot of problems, such as e.g. pollution and excessive fishing. We don’t only endanger animals but also plants, especially coral reefs found in the oceans. So we should start to realize the importance of oceans and start to appreciating them.

The oceans are very important for the ecosystem since they are a habitat of many types of organisms. These organisms are very important for us and our planet because they allow us to gain different foods and some algae also produce oxygen, without which we can not survive. I think that oceans are the face of our future because if we continue to pollute oceans and water in general we will soon end our stay on this planet and prevent other species from surviving. A A big problem already exists for animals that are the victims of our unwise treatment of oil. Any company that has had a spilling into the ocean or anywhere should make sure that it repairs the damage

The oceans are home to many animal species. Unfortunately they also serve as a huge waste disposal area harbouring tons of waste and with every second, with every waste that is thrown into the ocean or the sea that flows into the oceans, this waste destroys the environment of the animals who live in the ocean. By doing so, animal species are becpming extinct. In addition to all the suffering caused by people, marine animal species are also affected by fishing, which is for some people entertainment. By fishing they catch the fish and then they kill it. Some fishermen are hunting for food, but they do not comply with the law that limits the amount of fish they can catch and catch excessive quantities. In this way marine animal species are lost and because of this, the oceans will be empty in a few years. In addition to all the above, we also have to consider maritime transport. It is true that shipping helps humans. But how many times do we ask ourselves if it is helping marine animal species too?

We could say that oceans are an even more important natural habitat than land and that's because they host many known and unknown animal species, but that's a story for another day. For us, the ocean isn't just a source of food but entertainment, transport and many other things. Unfortunately we throw large amounts of waste into our oceans every year. A real sign of appreciation ! Since we are so generous and throw so much away the problem that arises is, how do we clean what is already in our seas and oceans? The most common example is of course that plastic bag you probably carried out of the shop today. The thing with the bag is, that they don't rot or decay, they don't degrade in nature for thousands of years, or never. Whatever works, but they outlive us by a long shot. I'd say if we continue like this we are going to build islands from plastic bags. Hmmmm...It doesn't have that vibe to it,eh?

Oceans are very important for people and other organisms. It's where all life started and they don't deserve to end like this, full of oil, rubbish and other chemicals, like the World dump. Oceans haven't even been fully discovered. We don't know for sure how deep they are and what lives there. People think they are smart, but we have never been at the lowest point of the ocean. The oceans harbor 99% of all lving space on Earth. The blue whale, for instance, is the largest animal on Earth. They are usually hunted at the depths of around 330 feet, within the well-lit zone of the ocen. At 831 feet, we reach the deepest free-dive in recorded history. The pressure there is more then 26 times greater than on the surface, which would crush most human lungs. But whales can dive to a max depth of 1,640 feet, where they hunt giant squid. The Titanic is at a staggering depth od 12,500 feet. If you sank Mt. Everest, the higher mountain of the world, its summit would reach down to 29,029 feet. That still doesn't compare to the two deepest crewed missions in history- In 2012 director James Cameron descended to 35,756 feet. But Cameron didn't quite beat the record, which was set by the oceanographer Jacques Piccard and Lt. Don Walsh in 1960. They descended to the lowest point at record 35,797 feet below the surface. Since then scientists have sent half a dozen unmanned submersibles to explore Challenger Deep. But they estimate there are potentially thousands of species we have yet to descover. In conclusion, humans have explored an estimated 5-10% od Earth's oceans. But we only just began to understand the deep, dark world that follows beneath us. We have to keep it clean and learn from our mother Nature.

Oceans are priceless treasures of our world. They have been here long before us, created the first microorganisms, life. But since Man has evolved, all of our waters are increasingly in danger. So many differents kinds of animals and plants live in them and most ocean wonders haven't even been discovered yet. I think that we won’t ever discover them, atleast not in our time, since we have only discovered 20% of all the oceans. If people continue to destroy oceans, further research and discoveries will have to be cancelled and all we have discovered until now will vanish, disappear. We should be aware in what state our oceans are right now ; animals are becoming extinct or endangered, they die because of the layer of piles of trash on the surface of the water, and the piles are not getting smaller. Oceans are a very important part of the Earth, without which nothing would exist. Because of that we should respect and think more about our oceans and the future of the creatures living in these oceans.

This planet is full of life. But most of it is probably yet to be discovered as it lies deep within the ocean depths. But the way the human race treats the oceans, it is very unlikely we will get the chance to discover it. The oceans are riddled with filth due to the recklessness of our race. We are exploiting the oceans and will continue to until there will be nothing left, unless we do something about it. We do not realize that by destroying the ocean, we are not only killing all that lives within, we are destroying the whole planet, with most of its population not even realizing it. But there is still hope. More and more people are becoming aware of what we are doing, therefore more and more people are contributing to the cause.

Oceans are very important, because they are a great source of food and water not just for us, but for many creatures and plants that we know and don’t know. It covers 70% of the earth surface and the fact is that we know more about the space than the oceans. Who knows what could be dwelling down there. The fact is also that the ocean isn’t only a habitat for animals and plants or a way to transport cargo for us people, the ocean is doing much more than that. These vast bodies of water are regulating worlds climate. Ocean is a great light absorber and heat distributer around the world, so it acts as a heater in the winter and a cooler in the summer. But it is not important only for creatures in the water. Polar bears, penguins and see birds also depend on it. So you can see how undiscovered the ocean is and how important it is to us. So we need to prevent leakages from the ships and farm fertilizer, prevent future garbage, sewage and oil spills. Also the carbon dioxide is turning the water into acid and it can create death zones. That is why we should address this problem quick and together, so it can be affective. We only have so much time.

Oceans are the face of our future, an opportunity for life. They give us resources like food, we use them for transportation and sports. Scientist are always working on new ways to change the planet and the usage of oceans in the future. Oceans could be a habitat for humans when we're overpopulated and crowded and there's no space. Also by taking into account that a majority of the seabed is unresearched we can expect new opportunities from there when its more explored.
The founder of the energy drink 5hour energy Manoj Bhargawa invested 99% of his fortune for a chance to improve the world and find solutions for the biggest problems. Him and his scientists researched many different problematics and tried to solve them and come up with different inventions. A documentary was also shot where the whole process was shown. The reason I'm mentioning the cause is because they also dealt with oceans and drinking water and we all know one day we'll run out of it , so the scientists created a machine that transforms sea water into drinking water. That's where we can see a good example of beneficial and ecological use of the ocean.
