CLIL sees language as the greatest learning tool and it connects learners to the real world and realities of the language. Since it is context-embedded towards cultural learning outcomes, there is reason to deny the use of this methodology. It is centred on the learner, life-long skills and competences they will transfer to any context and places the learner as the owner of its own learning process. For that reason, assessment is must the tool to achievement that kind of learning. Since CLIL methodology integrates the two phenomena of content and language, it is quite natural to assume that both aspects should be assessed.
