Manufacturing adds value to products produced in arizona such as cotton. Cotton cloth becomes more valuable than a boll of cotton through the manufactoring process.  This creates jobs and increases population.

Mining copper is the most important product of Arizona. Arizona also produces the most copper in the United States. 

Tourism brings revenue to Arizona. Our nice climate and the home of the Grand Canyon attract retired citizens and visitors all year round. These industries increase populations by those touring wanting to become permanant residens of Arizona.

Industry leaders such as Intel, Microchip, Honeywell, Raytheon, JDA Software, Frito Lay and Insight all manufacture in Arizona which brings more jobs and people to the state so it brings more money and people to Arizona. 

There are 27 major mines in Greater Arizona producing copper, gold, lime, uranium, coal and cement. Combined, these mines account for a $4.87 billion impact on the Arizona economy and are responsible for 51,800 jobs direct and indirect jobs.

Agriculture is estimated to be a $23.3 billion industry, resulting in the creation of 138,000 jobs. In arizona high technology advancements and new technologies occur at a very speed. the state is home to thousands of vast and varied manufacturers including the worlds leading high tech manufacturing companies. they produce computer and electronic products aerospace and other transportation equipment food beverages and tobacco products. fabricated metal products chemicals non metallic mineral products machinery motor vehicles and parts and primary metals. 

Mining industry
