1. The text mentions the diathesis-stress model ...does this apply to this article and video? If so, how?

Diathesis-stress model most definitely applies to the article and video. The majority of the cases that were sent to Mendota Juvenile Treatment Center, in Madison, Wisconsin were among the elites of infamous juveniles who display lack of empathy and emotions towards their victims, and most of them grew up in with horrible stressors in the course of their lives.

However, there are a few of these "budding psychopaths" that needed no extra environmental help in their psychosis. The two that were mentioned in the article grew up in middle-class homes and with "Samatha's" case, parents who seemed to be very loving and caring, yet due to her predisposition genetics, but her "callous and unemotional traits" seemed to be stronger than her environment that she was being brought up in, however, her biological mother was unable to provided for her and her four other siblings, and this could be a trigger for the diathesis-stress model.
