This is a free, augmented reality, app that can be used for all students (elementary, middle, and high school) in the subject of science. The app is compatible with iOS devices 13.0 or later and macOS 10.15 or later. With this free app, students can explore the sun, moon, and planets within our solar system. Realistic images that students can zoom in on and learn about the size and other facts about planets, the sun, and the moon.
An example of how this app can be used in the classroom is that science teachers can implement the app as part of their lectures if he/she is teaching about the solar system. The teacher could project the app onto an overhead board so the whole class can see and learn together, or have the students individually use the app on a tablet or other device for independent learning.
Here's a link to reviews (I could not find any reviews from any other source): https://apps.apple.com/us/app/solar-solar-system-in-ar/id1286558019#see-all/reviews

This app is a digital library with over 40,000 eBooks (including fiction, non-fiction, chapter books, etc) that students can read independently and they can also play a video to have the book read to them with follow-along highlighted words. The app is intended for students aged 12 and under, and is compatible with iOS, Android, computers, and laptop devices.
For schools, this app is free for educators, but for personal at-home use, it can cost up to $9.99/month for access to all the ebooks.
An example of how this app can be used in the classroom is, if a student doesn't like reading a typical paperback book, he/she can read a story an alternative way which is digital and more interactive. Teachers can assign eBooks for independent read-to-self, for homework, and the teacher could even read a digital story to the whole class if there is any book the teacher doesn't own in the classroom, etc.
Links to reviews:
https://www.commonsensemedia.org/app-reviews/epic-kids-books-and-videos/user-reviews/adult

https://www.facebook.com/epic4kids/
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/epic-books-for-kids/id719219382#see-all/reviews

iReady (https://www.curriculumassociates.com/products/i-ready) is a data driven online program for Reading and Math. Students first take a diagnostic test and then they receive personalized instruction to fill learning gaps or challenge students based on their results. iReady is designed for grades Kindergarten to 8. You do have to purchase a license to use the program. I highly recommend. We have our students do 15 minutes of both reading and math every day to either help support foundational skills that have been missed or challenge those that have mastered grade level material.

Students can search for books and read independently or have a book read to them. Their engagement time is tracked. Teachers can assign virtual books or learning videos to students. There are grade specific texts and subject specific texts with matching videos. This is a great resource for emerging readers and English Language Learners because it will read books to the students and highlight the words as they are read. Students can read for leisure or for research projects. I highly recommend this program!

ABii is a small robot that can act as a math and reading tutor for K-5 students. This robot can serve up to 3 students at a single time, which I think would be great for small-group work and after-school tutoring sessions. The robot costs between $599 and $999 and is only 15-inches tall. It can be placed on a desk where it can make "eye contact" with the students. The robot asks questions, and the students answer. If the student gets a question correct, the robot dances, but if a student gives the wrong answer, the robot provides a step-by-step explanation.
Links to reviews:
https://www.facebook.com/pg/abiijams/reviews/?ref=page_internal

What: Rather than a linear to-do list, this one categorizes them into a matrix.
https://todoist.com/productivity-methods/eisenhower-matrix
You can even install it as a plug-in for Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/priority-matrix-for-chrom/dboboillnhldihjigadainihehfoackd

Who: Any students who have the cognitive ability to determine the "urgency" and the "importance" of tasks. So maybe 10 and older?

Platform: Chrome plugin, though honestly you can find different versions on line you can use in whatever platform you see fit.

Example: Categorize your To Do list. Maybe the essay due today goes into box #1. Maybe the project due next week goes into box #2. Maybe the procrasta-working such as finding cool fonts goes into box #4 so that you are forced to intentionally let it go.

Testimonial: I use this for a while last year. It was good while it lasted, and with the plug in you could easily shift items from one box to another. It's similar to a Trello board, which categorizes work into "needs to be done" "doing" and "done. I eventually went back to pen-and-paper since I like handwriting.

What: It's a public reward system that "creates positive culture, gives students a voice, shares moments with parents" according to their website. I have not really used it, but I heard this is a good positive reinforcement system for students. Can help with classroom and time management.
https://www.classdojo.com/

Who: All ages, but maybe elementary and middle since they often need that postiive reinforcement for classroom norms, and since parents seem more attentive to younger students than older.

Platform: Works on iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, and on any computer.

Example: you can promote equity by using the random student name picker to answer your questions. According to their site, "A random student generator that helps you select a student, no popsicle sticks required. Use this student picker during a lesson or when you need a “volunteer”"

Testimonial: Terence says in the comments that it's helpful, though time consuming to set up.

What: Not technically a tech resource, but I've found these two books invaluable when considering classroom management.
1. Teach like a Champion by Doug Lemov
2. Envoy by Michael Grinder

Who: All ages, though Enjoy seems better for high and Teach like a Champion is better for primary and middle.

Platform: synchronous or face-to-face learning. These are lessons for teachers on managing behavior in class.

Example: I love the lesson about your voice level. If you get louder, the students will too. So trying to quiet them down by shouting over them won't work. Rather, use a "yoga" voice, talk softly, asking them politely to quiet down and quiet their neighbors down, then when they are quiet enough to hear your voice, practice 10 seconds of silence. Then, thank them and continue with the lesson with the volume of the class reset.

Testimonial: "Every teacher should own this book and use it!" - says Kerri M from Amazon reviews.

Mark Church runs PDs on them, and our school has embraced them. They are available free online for whomever. These are simply teaching strategies you can modify into any platform.

Example: I love the "Chalk Talk" since it allows students to brainstorm and make connections. To do this by hand, use butcher paper and markers. To do this virtually, use Google Jamboard, or the "canvas" option in Padlet.

Testimonial: me - they are helpful strategies and activities to foster critical thinking.

I know it was mentioned before for Math practice but I can't but include it here as well for teaching Language Arts. I love this resource! It gives an opportunity to drill any concept learned profoundly, it is self-checking so students will not bother you with questions "Why is that so?", the program will explain what the mistake is and add more exercises to make sure the mastery is achieved. The only drawback for me is that when you close the task it will start off from where you stopped, not allowing another student to start from the beginning. (meaning that each student should have an account of his/her own which is really expensive for school subscription) Other than that it's a great resource.
Compatibility: Windows, Mac OS, or Chrome OS (including Chromebooks)
Reviews: link1, link2

Jeopardy game is a great way of formative assessment. Students divide into teams or play on their own if it's a smaller group. The questions can vary, it can be used for all grade levels, for practically all school subjects. It's very competitive and fun. Perfect for team-building. The site offers a lot of read-yo-play options but you can also create something new.
Compatibility: online program
Reviews: link1, link2.

Some of the lists are created to accompany popular children's books. SAT/PSAT vocabulary mastery package is available for additional cost of $39,95.

What: drawing and coloring app designed for young kids. This encourages them to talk about what they draw.

Targets Pre-K, K and Grade 1.

How: You can use it like a show and tell while combining Art class and Tech. They draw on the pad, then tell everyone in the circle what they drew and why. Maybe some more background information if they have any. Nice way to practice art and oral language in one as well!

Extra: Children can record themselves talking about their drawings. This gives it an extra option as to be homework.
