In 2010, former President, Barrack Obama, signed the Affordable Care Act preventing insurance companies from charging more simply based on gender. 

In 2013, Obama and Vice President Biden created the White House Task Force to protect students from sexual assault. The first report they released included information for schools to prevent and respond to sexual assault, along with steps by federal agencies to improve enforcement of federal laws.
