Follow directions the first time they are spoken.
Do not use your voice while I am speaking.
Use kind words at all times.
I have EXTREMELY HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP AND BEHAVIOR.
Even if you have to pretend, ACT SMART, BE SMART, DO SMART.
Do not make a mistake by being disrespectful to me IN ANY WAY.
If no one has raised you to avail yourself to a high standard of behavior, I will give you one redirection in an effort to teach you how to behave when you are not at home. If you do not learn from that redirection, you will leave the media center.

***Most students behave poorly, walk around, talk, are disruptive and disrespectful because they are reading below grade level, do not know how to ask questions, have low-esteem and care too much about people "thinking they are smart or dumb", they are babied and coddled and think they do not have to do work, or it is too hard for them.

Be a self-advocate and ask questions.

DO ALL OF YOUR WORK WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
Understand that you will earn a consequence if you fail to comply.
You will know what academic success feels like when you comply.
