She is super jealous of Elizabeth Proctor, but she still believes that John will come back for her. John and Abigail took their relationship farther than expected too. John realizes this so he tries to end what happened. The phrase "So it's going to be forever or it's going down in flames" reflects Abigail's motive too. Her thought is either John and her are going to be together, or she is going to destroy Proctor's life. Furthermore, after a failure to initiate a counterterrorism plan in Benghazi, US citizens were killed. Clinton denied the fact that she didn't respond to a plea for help, and blamed the attack on a youtube video. On the other hand, Abigail continuously accused people of witchcraft to steer trouble away from her.
